Play-along videos based on Geminiani´s famous violin method of 1751
These Learn Videos are designed for my students to help them practice more effectively at home. Learning the baroque “musical language” is like learning any other language – you need to know some basic ground rules, but once you´ve reached a certain level, you just need to use that language in a supportive environment as much as possible. Subtle nuance is often difficult or impossible to explain, so listening and playing along with the teacher or another good player is often the best path to faster and more exciting progress.
Please browse the videos and feel free to use them too, if you are a violinist or viola player. To cater for all eventualities, I have versions for both baroque and modern pitched instruments on both violin and viola. Für die Deutschsprachigen Versionen bitte hier Klicken.
Violin A=415Hz (baroque pitch)
